Lumix DMC-FZ5 ordered

Discussion in 'Panasonic Lumix' started by Charles Schuler, Apr 10, 2005.

  1. The old Olympus C-2000Z let us down again at a party last night. Sad, as
this has been a very good camera for recording events. I'll post back in a
week or so and let you know what I think about the Panasonic. This will be
our "family camera" as I use a 20D for serious amateur work (also have a
    300D).

  2. Oh, I posted here since others with DSLRs might be considering an adjunct
    camera.

  3. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've just been viewing pictures
from a 3 week Antarctic trip taken with the FZ20 and they are excellent.
A DSLR will doubtless give less noise, but you would be treating it a lot
more carefully, perhaps not exposing it during sea-spray conditions on the
Zodiacs! Pity it doesn't have a swivel LCD finder, though.

    Cheers,
    David
