I am sure that this question has been asked a million times but the issue still confuses me.

    It's all pixels.

So this new camera has a lot of picture choice selections:

    4:3, 16:9, 3:2, and 1:1

and up to 13.5 M in the 1:1 mode. I understand the larger the resolution the higher quality and less pictures on a card.

But I am still confused about what is best.

    For example a 4:3 5M EZ compared to a 1:1 13.5M selection.

It seems to me the 1:1 would be a completely accurate transfer.

I have yet to find something on the web that makes this clear.

    Can anyone help here.

    Thanks
