It's a real waste to have a French manual for my D60 not being used. I
would like to trade my French version for an English version. Anybody
    in Canada interested?

Thanks for your suggestiont but I want an original copy. I don't know
how it is in the US but in Canada there is a french copt as well as an
english copy that is of no use to a non speaking english person. It
would be nice to have 2 copies that I can use. One for in the car
    would be nice.

It may not be worth your while, but you *could* buy another D60,
keep the French version of the manual, and then sell it (or your
original D60) with English manual on eBay. :)

A better possibility is suggested by noting than Nikon USA sells
English versions of the manual online for $12, via Nikon Mall :

    http://www.nikonmall.com/product.as...earchcat=Instruction+Manuals%3E&searchcatid=8

Call Nikon Canada. An equivalent www.nikonmall.ca doesn't seem to
exist, but perhaps with the proper URL . . .

Also, you could print your own copy of the manual if you have the
French version of the PDF file. Did one come on a CD with the
camera? If not, if you enter nikon.ca's English portal you can find
a printable and non-printable version available for download. This
should be in English, which isn't what you're looking for . . .

but if you enter through the French portal, you may find a
printable French version of the D60's manual.

  6. I bought a D120. It came with two copies of all of the manuals.

    You mean a D120 is 2ea D60's?

I should have thought of that - that's what I got with my D100.
You have to be patient though. Nikon doesn't offer these
    "bracketing" promotions very often. :)

  10. They know they only work if availablity is limited. When people get too
used to them they don't even notice them any more. This is another
    example of...saturation. :)

I hate waste and I'm sure others may feel the same way. I just
thought it would be nice to have a spare manual and a trade would be
better than throwing the useless one in the trash.

You're right, but you'll stand a much better chance of doing that
if you can find and then direct your question to a French, or to a
mixed French/English speaking audience. We may have scared them
away from this area several years ago by waving Freedom Fries and
    pitchforks in their general direction.

So compost it instead of throwing it away. My worms seem to enjoy a bit
    of paper with their greens.
