Matrox RT.X100 Premiere Pro Voiceover Truth

Discussion in 'Amateur Video Production' started by Digital Video Solutions, Jun 21, 2005.

  1. This one is for Alex Glaros more than anyone else here. During all the
posting where so many kept saying the voiceover in Premiere Pro would not
work when using the MatroxRT presets. Specifically Alex wanted to record
live music using a keyboard hooked to the midi interface of a sound card. I
continually said "yes" this will work when others convinced Alex it would
    not.

During all the posting back and forth, I sent a description of the problem
to Frank DiCero - South Easstern U.S. Regional Account Manager at Matrox in
Canada. Frank in turn contacted David Helmly - Senior Business Development
Manageer at Adobe Systems with our question. Just to recap. The question is:
"If a user installs a Matrox approved sound card, such as the Creative
Audigy 4 Pro and subsequently attaches a microphone or midi keyboard to that
sound card, will voice over in Premiere Pro work with MatroxRT settings?"

The answer from Adobe via Matrox is: "...it should work fine. Levels may be
    more of an issue."

  2. You have completely missed the OP's issue. He wants to use a
higher-quality sound card than the low-end consumer stuff that
Matrox supports. Did you ask them about THAT?
