Minolta AF 85mm f1/4 G Lens

  1. Anyone used this lens before? How good of a lens is it since it is a
    G-series lens

  2. The G series lenses are the best that Minolta make as opposed to Nikon
    who brand their cheaper consumer lenses as G series.
    It should be an excellent lens - I just wish I could afford one...

    AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED
    AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED
    AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED
    AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G IF-ED

  4. OK OK, so Nikon make expensive G series lenses too - I don't pretend
    to be a Nikon expert - I'm a Minolta user!
    The cheaper consumer lenses I have seen for sale as kits with the F80,
    F75 & F60 are G series, so I made the assumption.
    Apologies to any insulted Nikon users....
