Looking to get my wife a digital camera and this looked pretty good,
albeit a tad expensive considering we'd have to get an additional
memory card. She's just looking for a camera for her purse, nothing
fancy but reliable, will keep things in focus and work reliably.

    Thanks

  2. I have the Konica 510Z which I believe is identical (ie same camera is
Minolta in US and Konica in Europe). It gives manual control to exposure
    and, partially, focussing.
I read a review by Jim Cockfield
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opinion_text.asp?prodkey=konica_kd510z&
opinion=17947 before buying one. When my camera arrived it did what he found
it would do. There are sample photos on the Konica Japan web site.
