    Hi,

    I've just inherited a Minolta 7000 Af camera and a 28-85mm lens. I am
looking for a few more lenses for it however i know nothing about Minolta's.

Basically, will all minolta AF lenses fit this camera? If not, how do i know
which one will and will not. That's all i would like to know.

    Thanks

    Andrew

I used to have one of those. Good camera, in fact the first ever AF SLR.
I'm pretty sure that all Minolta AF lenses will fit.
You should get some great results.

  3. Any Minolta AF lens will fit and work fully, except ones labelled xi
which have a power zoom, and some new very expensive ultrasonic focus
    motor lenses labelled SSM.

The 7000 has an internal battery, which can only be changed by Minolta,
and was intended to last 7 years, backing up the camera's functions. Our
7000 is now 18 years old and is still running happily on the original
    battery.
