Minolta X-9 shutter button misfire due to perspiration?

  1. A few weeks ago, I was shooting in the hot Austin sun with my
recently-ordered X-9. About mid-shoot, the shutter button on occasion
would not respond. At the time, I believe that my hands may have been
sweaty. Blowing in the area may or may not have helped.

When it did fire, the images were fine. For the rest of the shoot, it
    did not happen again.

Could this have been sweat / moisture related?

    Results of that day's shooting:

Also, could someone confirm if the X-9 does not have overexposure
lockup (no shutter release if 1/1000 is too slow) like my XG-7 had?

It seems that the X-9 will fire even with the over-exposure "up arrow"
is lit. As far as I can tell, this did not mess up any shots.
