I found a Minolta at a thrift store for $10 that seemed to be in good condition. I purchased it and replaced the batteries the next day day. Sadly, the camera did not show any signs of life. I decided to take it to a local repair shop that would do a free diagnostic. About 24 hours later I got a price for the repairs...$100. Is it worth spending the money on this old film camera? I must say I’ve grown found of it, but feel conflicted by the repair cost.

HI! I don't think it is justified, but it all depends on your values. You can buy working camera xg-1 for $20-30. and there are better cameras from minolta for 100-150.
