Mounting Prints - Best Method

I've got some 12x16 Cibachromes to mount. I want them to look good in a
frame where I will have a mat between the print and the glass. I don't want
to see air bubbles or other imperfections when viewing the photos.

I don't have access to a dry mounting press.

The usual photo mount sprays don't last kissing time, in my experience.

    What's the best alternative?

I'm considering mounting them on wood using double sided tape covering the
entire print area but am worried about longevity.

    Any suggestions?
