MPEGs Upside Down

I'm pulling my hair out here!

I successfully captured digital video sequences to my PC and compiled them
into two AVI files ready to create a DVD.

When I used the DVD software to create the VOB files and ran the preview,
the images were upside down.

I also took a selection of still images (jpg) and compiled them into a video
sequence using the video editing software. When I converted the result to
MPEG, again the images were all upside down.

PC = 1 GHz Intel with 768 MB RAM and 40 GB free hard disk space.
Camera = Sony DCR PC110E.
Video software = Pinnacle 7.
DVD burning software = InstantCD+DVD (came with the drive).

Any thoughts?

 

That's unusual. Maybe there is some option in the software that has
been turned on that is casing the pictures to be turned upside down.
Check all the options in your software to make sure they are set
correctly.

I vaguely recall a problem with Windows Media Player flipping video
upside down, so if you are using Windows Media Player for preview, it
may not be your video...just the viewer. I never had the problem
myself, so I can't be of any further help. However, you should be
able to search these archives and find the solution, as I know it was
discussed in this forum.
