The figure made looking at your holiday pictures no worse. If that's any
    consolation.

I have found that by giving people a slightly childish Star Wars figure
to hold for a photo gets a nice smile from them, I have seen punks with
Mohican hair cuts creasing up laughing just cos of that Stormtrooper, one
band even had him on stage with them. But I just generally use it to try
and make my photo's a bit more interesting. I do the artwork to try and
make my concert photo's look better than they really are, my Minolta
digital camera is not really very good in darker places and a lot of them
come out really dark. Has anyone got any tips about taking photo's in
dark places ? Last Saturday one of the punk bands that I photographed
all wore white T-shirts, I really had a problem getting a good photo of
    them,
most of them came out even darker than normal. The lighting at the place
is not really very good, I normally ask them just to put the white lights on
and forget the blue and red ones,. If there is smoke on the stage as well
    the
light is OK cos it reflects all over the place, but I have to get the shots
before the smoke engulfs the band or they come out blurry. I have been
taking concert photo's for a coupe of years now I have learned quite a
lot just by practicing, it has really given me something to do since I lost
my job the other year as well. I really enjoy photography..

Are people still using dial up ? I know that the photo is big that is why I
added the size details with the posting.

    Thanks for the comments though.

  7. I'm on a 14.6k connection via dial-up on a laptop and a wireless
    dial-up network.
