Does anyone have experience of using the Mumford Time Machine?
Leads/sensors seem expensive so is the whole device over-priced? Does it
    work well? Any comments?

Much as it pains me to agree with Mr. Lipman, this is one cool device.
Here's a link with an article on it and at the bottom of the text is
the place to find additional information. You probably already have it
all, but just in case and for the benefit of others.

Wish you guys would stop finding these gadgets to spend money on. I
think my wife bought a gun. I don't know if she plans to use it on me,
the computer or the cameras. ;o)

It does look cool. I did not see a price tag.

A little experimentation and a little imagination and you could do the same
    on the cheap.

fire the pellet gun through two sheets of foil that are separated in a way
that when the pellet penetrates the two sheets touch and complete the
circuit thus firing the flash. then figure out the timing. Will it work,
I dunno.... but finding out is half the fun if not 3/4

You were awfully nasty to me once and I haven't slept well since. But
let's not divert another thread with our petty bickering. Anyway, I
love you now and want to have your children. Now, pucker up big boy.
