I'm looking to purchase a PCI card or external unit that will capture
video from 1) JVC Digital Camcorder, 2) VCR, 3) TV

Is there a unit that can do all that, or will I need to purchase a
couple cards? Is there anything in particular I should look for, as
far as quality, etc. These are for home videos, but I still want a
good quality. I will be burning these movies to play in a DVD player.
My DV cam came with a cable for the capturing, but it is horendously
    slow.

Any software recommendations for a beginner that wants to be able to
    edit, and add graphics, etc?

    Thanks!
