For those who owns the FZ50, could you tell me whether the a filter
screen can be attached to the front of the camera's lens? Is it the
standard screw-in filter typically used in old camera's lenses? What
diameter size is the lens' filter size? I noticed in some P&S digital
cameras, the mouth of the lens appear to be smooth (therefore could
    not screw in a filter).
    Thanks for info

  2. My DMC-FZ30 has a 55mm filter thread. As far as I know, the FZ50 is the
    same.

Recently bought one. 55mm screw in works fine.

Some newsgroup contributors appear to have confused
the meaning of "discussion" with "digression".
