Need some help

Discussion in 'Digital SLR' started by Albion of Avalon, Jun 14, 2011.

  1. Today I wanted to try to take some pictures of the Moon:

    The result is this:

    https: / / picasaweb.google.com / Albionsmail / Provq? authkey
    Gv1sRgCLSbmoavguLPag = # 5618165586615452530

    https: / / picasaweb.google.com / Albionsmail / Provq? authkey
    Gv1sRgCLSbmoavguLPag = # 5618165653693268834

    What did I do wrong? In the viewfinder I see the Moon how in the way I
    would like to print it. But for some reason that is beyond my
    understanding I make a huge mess of it.

    Thanks to those who want to help me.

    You put a bunch of spaces in the URLs, making them pretty much
    useless.
    I'll guess: The moon is just a big white blob? The camera sees a
    lot of dark and tries to adjust the exposure to lighten it up. The
    tiny moon is way overexposed.

    Manually set the exposure. Try different settings.

    he Moon is a daylight exposure 1/ISO @ f:16 and adjust from there.
