Need to copy old VHS tapes to DVD's

  1. I found capturing at 704x480 gives me the best results. Not sure
why, but with my Matrox G400-TV and AVI_IO, it works quite well.
I used Ulead Video Studio 7 and Ulead DVD Movie Maker 2 (came
with my Pioneer burner) and both the video editor, which I made
the MPG file from, and the DVD menu app have modes specifically
for 704. I found if I leavet them at 720, the video just looks a
bit jittery, but if I set them at 704, there is no jitter. I use
    8000 kbps too.
