Does anyone have any experience of the Epson 3490 Photo neg/slide scanner?

I'm considering buying one and I'd like to know whether it's worth getting.

  2. I too need more info in the quality of various film scanners that are in
    reach of my low budget.
In the UK, we have a range of scanners, flatbeds or even specific film
    scanners, but i do need
to keep to the low cost scanners, but ones that can give at least A4 prints
    at 300dpi.
the latest Epson Perfection 4990 is too costly for me, Jessops offer a
    Primfilm 7250U which
is within my range, but although the resolution of 7200x3600dpi and up to
    48-bit colour depth,
it sounds good, but has anyone used one? peter. (photopop)

  3. I just bought a 3490 excellent colours resolution on scanned negs a bit
fuzzy, will print on 6 x 4 OK but neg needs to be really sharp to get
only an average scan for A4 printing. Will not scan to a particularly
high standard but... for GBP 70 in PC World I am not complaining. If
anyone can recommend a good budget neg/slide scanner I would be
    interested too

I have a Minolta Dimage II USB slide and film scanner for sale if anyone
    is interested.
Price is £110 plus £10 p&p, or can be collected if near Nottingham

On the following link is one similar, with full description, that sold
    on Ebay recently for

condition, and complete, including all original accessories, software,
    and box.
I can take PayPal, and can supply my Ebay i.d.details, (15 with 100%
positive), telephone number, name and address upon request.

I can be contacted using comp2525 at ntlworld dot com or through this
