New adjustment Layers Question

Discussion in 'Photoshop' started by MArtin Chiselwitt, Jul 24, 2004.

  1. just a quickie:

when you select 'new adjustment layer' at the bottom of the layer menu,
i was sure there was a way to do it so that it appeared as grouped with
the layer below it... does anyone know, is there a way to do this?
holding down the ALT key presents u with dialog box and a checkbox, but
i was wondering if there was another shortcut that would bypass that?

not that important really.. .just wanna know if there is such a way

    many thanks Pshoppers,

Hold down Alt and go with your mouse just in between the layer and the
adjustment layer on the layers palette. Then click left mouse button when
    you see the 'Link' icon.

This is of course *after* you made a normal Adjustment Layer in the Layers
Paletteabove the layer you want to adjust. So it's a two step procedure.

If you hold down Alt while making the AL you will get a dialog with a
checkbox for Group with Previous Layer.
