I am new to the digital camera world and now have my first large memory
stick full of photos from my vacation.
How can I put these onto a DVD or CD so I can show them to everyone on my
    TV?
    I have NO ideal.....
    Yhanks for your help.

Most modern DVD players will play *.JPG photos provided they are in the
    "root" directory (folder).

If the players says on the body of it somewhere that it plays JPG files then
just burn a CD or DVD.

Your only problem is that photos taken in "portrait" mode will not be turned
    around.

There is a freeware programme called "Rota" that works well if you don't
have one. My version is 7.00.

    Thanks. I'll check it out.
Will it allow me to make a sideshow?
I have Adobe Photoshop and Premier Elements.

By far the easiest way that I"ve found to make a DVD for a home player is
using a free program called "PhotoStory 3 " from Microsoft.
I made a fairly long slideshow with it, I tried most of the stuff out there,
including some commercial programs. It's very intuitive with photo story 3.

Basically, you dump your pictures in the program, the program does the rest.
If you want to put music on, that's easy to do. Same with different
    transitions.

Try Comcast's "Photo Show". It's free if you're a Comcast subscriber.
Excellent program w/ audio insertion & lotsa editing features. R
