    Hi all,

I just had a vid tape, of a tv program I was in, converted to a mpg file
recently - and through a series of mad experimentations... I ended up
finding an app called MPEG video wizard and managed to cut out and save
    the clip that I wanted.

However the clip is 20 mins long and is still 960mb in size. I would
love to be able to reduce it so that it fits on a CD or to a size I can
send over the net to friends.

Is this possible ? It is a one off so I am not into buying a program.

Yes Its possible Depends on what Applications you Have. If You are using XP
then you should have Windows Movie Maker Or Movie maker 2 This Makes WMV
with various setting suitable for the web or emailing to suit Different
connection speeds. The smallest uses small image size so you may not want
that. Note Not Many Set top DVD players can play WMV but PC and media player
    have no problems

Problem with MM2 is that it doesn't support any easy path to producing
VCDs, SVCDs or DVDs. You're stuck with playing your videos on PCs.

Unfortunately WMM won't open it. It says it doesn't have the requisite
    codec :-(
