    I think the "DX" symbol implies that - but really, someone spending $2000 on
    a lens is going to know what sort of camera it's targetted at.

    A bloke at work has one - I've borrowed it. It's optics are very good,
    almost to the level of my 17-35.

    Well I would have thought anyone spending $2k on anything would want to know
    a fair bit about it, but first-timers buying 300Ds are proving me wrong...

    Film has 3 layers of depth to the focal plane... digital sensors are an
    absolutely flat plane with no tolerance whatsoever... lens performance
    is more critical with a digital sensor
