    Greetings all

I am looking at purchasing either the Nikon D70 or a Canon 300D, I am
leaning to spending the extra and going for the Nikon. Would be for
private as opposed to professional use.

Any word of wisdom to assist me in this decision?

    Thanks

  2. Both are good cameras that will give great results. My only advice is don't
make your mind up on body alone, as they come and go these days.... look at
the total "system" and see what's right for you.

Yes. Tony, I would compare the lens ranges and make my decision based on
that (based on any additional lens I would want to get)

so you think by spend "the extra" that it comes with some special god given
photo. pro or not, what are you basing your assessment on? just curious!

hope you will have lots fun with it, regardless of what and why

Thanks for the advice folks. Don't follow the last post, doesnt make
    sense, .......god give photo?

The "extra" clearly refers to the additional cost to purchase, I am keen
to see what benefits spending this "extra" would be, eg durability,
features, reliability and the experiences of others with both of these
    models.

    Thanks for the various posts

    Cheers
