Thinking of selingthe d70 and buying the d80. Anybody out there done the
same? I need to know if:

    1. The batteries are the same.
    2. Wether all lens that work with the d70 will work exactly the same with
    the d80.

  2. Actually he was using "D70's" as a possessive, not a plural. ("D70's VF" . .
    .. "D70's smaller sensor")

Yoshi was not addressing any similarity or difference between the D70 and
the D70s. He said only that the N70 and the D70s are entirely different.
    Perhaps you misread.

He did. Paul is the one who misspoke, wrote N70 when he meant N80. He
cleared that up before you posted.

Nope, different. But you can still use the same charger, even though
the one that comes with the D80 is slightly different.
    Yes.

  4. I have both a D70 and a D80 and I find relatively little advantage to
the D80 other than slightly (and it really is slightly) better large
prints. The D70 appears to be better put together and seems more
    robust. Both are excellent cameras.

  5. Especially when used D70s aren't worth much. Less than a D40, which is
    unexplainable.

  6. The D70 with the latest firmware is virtually the same as the D70s.

  7. And if you keep the D70, the D80 batteries will work in it.
