Anyone out there doing Time Lapse Photos with a Nikon D80?
    How?

I did with my D70 using a laptop and Nikon Capture with USB cable. It
looks like the D80 has the option to use a MC-DC1 cable so surely there
is some way to connect an interval timer to that plug. Some kind of
crank-up toy that flips around & bumps the button on the MC-DC1 :)

It is not possible to plug the 10 pin MC-36 Remote into a D80 camera!

You use Nikon Camera Control Pro with the camera hooked up to your
laptop. The D80 does not allow wireless control, so you will have to
use a USB port. You can download a 30 day free trial of Camera Control
    Pro from Nikon's web site.

Only an idiot would insist the Nikon MC-36 Remote with 10 pin plug
would fit a Nikon D80 when Nikon says they can't!
Oh yes Matt Clara says it fits!
