    I'm thinking of selling my Nikon FM10 + 35-70mm
zoom lens at ebay, yet I have no clue what it's
worth nowadays. The camera is in perfect condition.
    Any advice appreciated!

    Not much

The camera is in perfect condition.
Donate it to your local HS photography department.

  3. Depending on where you live there are many school and college photography
schools that have students looking for a decent camera for the courses and
later use. The FM10 is a good starter manual camera. Try posting to these
schools. Don't expect to get alot for it on ebay, but you never know. You'd
be lucky to get $150 US on ebay. check out the auctions on ebay before you
    post it.

  4. Hmmmmm. The Nikon FM10 is not really a 'Nikon', it is made by Cosina before
Cosina upped their build quality, it often goes wrong - that lens is pretty
poor too, you'd probably get around £50 for the lot on eBay, if you can sell

When my F4 broke down in Prague, I bought an FM10 as an emergency body to
continue shooting while on holiday, when I got back home and had the F4
repaired, I tried to sell the FM10 and its lens, nobody seemed to want it on
eBay. I ended up selling it via my local newpaper for a third of what i had
    paid for it.

Search eBay to see what others have sold for.

I like the idea of donating it to schools--that's one to seriously
consider. There's always a great photography student who can't afford a
Anyway, I have an FM10. I bought it for $199 with that same lens
package. So don't expect to get any more than 150 however you sell it.
Ebay is great for people who want to buy things cheap, but the other
side of the coin is that someone has to sell it cheap! Donating would
be very philanthropic if you could sacrifice the money, or you could
try trading it in at a camera shop around town. Trade-ins can save you
some money if you negotiate right.

Well for one thing you can watch similar items on ebay. Regardless of what
its worth your only going to get what the current market demands for any
    particular item.

The FM10 is likely worth between 50-150 used regardless of condition UNLESS
it is new in box. Thats just for the body.

But then maybe some yahoo will pay top dollar for it.....depends on the
weather and lunar phases I think.

You did not state the lens specifics so I am unable to comment on that. For
instance how fast. The lower the number (f rating) is usually better.

I sell things on ebay on occasion so ....its generally not a sellers market.
Except for some things I have recently sold as vintage.
