Just bought a 70-300 AFD lens.

Should there be the usual multi-part yellow warranty slip included or have
Nikon dropped these (I've not bought any new Nikon stuff for a year).

Is it significant if this is not included ?

    TIA

Don't know about the significance, but... I just bought a Nikon CoolScan
LS-8000 and it had the usual yellow warranty stuff.

Just checked at work today in the lens boxes for lenses I've recently
purchased - there's a yellow warranty slip in the 70-200 F2.8VR and the
    300 F2.8 AFSII.

Well, I wouldn't be unduly worried - your guarantee is primarily with the
shop you purchased it from anyway, so provided you have your receipt,
    you're covered.

    In message <>
and the shop stays in business for the 'guaranteed' time
I've found it quicker to go straight to the manufacturers when I've needed
to, especially the time I bought mail-order, and the 'appropriate person'
never seemed to be "available" when I could use the phone.....
