hi, this is my first time on your forum. i mainly shoot children
outdoors, live bands & the occasional wedding. I need to replace my old
Nikkor 28-85mm f3.5/4.5 AF Zoom and i'm not sure whether to get another
one or perhaps the Nikon 28-105 f3.5/4.5D. has anyone used this and
    what do you think?
I shoot alot of low light situations so would ideally like a faster
lens but i'd probably have to go third-party to keep the price down.

    thanks in advance

24/120 f3.5-5.6 would be more ideal.

I have the 28 - 105 and have found it to be a very good lense - quick to
auto seek and great quality for price.
Also have a 70-300 Nikon zoom but can hardly ever put it in auto-focus,
    definately would recommend this one.

  4. Also available in VR now, which gives (allegedly) 3 to 4 stops faster use.
