    Hello
This is my frst post here. I'm very new to PS and I started learnin
about a week ago. I have a question and maybe it's a configuratio
    prob.

In the first time I used PS, a layer was created for every shape
drew. Now something strange is happening. For every shape I dra
something like a mask is created. And I have to rasterize the layer t
use some features such as the gradient tool.

I posted an image to help.

    Thanks in advance

Bruno, there are three little icons at the upper left side of the options
bar. The one on the left makes shape layers, that is what you are seeing.
The one in the middle just forms a shape path and the one on the right
produces a rasterized shape. You must have hit one of these at some time.

Read about the Shapes tool and vector masks in the manual.
