Notebook computer for photo editing?

    I'm looking for a Centrino/Pentium M based notebook computer with a screen
that's good enough for photo editing. I just returned a Samsung P30 -- it
was a beautiful machine but the blue tint of the backlight made it
completely impossible to judge and adjust photo colors accurately.

Are there any notebooks around that fit this bill? I can't seem to find
any information on the subject, despite extensive searches. (A Powerbook
isn't an option, unfortunately, as I work in the Windows software industry
and need access to a Windows machine for my work while I'm on the road.)

The IBM ThinkPad with an ATI Mobility Fire GL 9000 has worked fine for me,
offering a selection of many color spaces to work in. It defaults to Adobe
    98.

The newer Thinkpad T42 with 15" display and 128 Mb ATI FIREGL T2 is probably
the ultimate combination of portability and quality, but be prepared to
shell out big bucks for something like that.

Thanks for the confirmation -- I've been considering an IBM machine,
will have to take a CD of photos down to the local store and have a look
    at them there.
