I am from Australia, where the TV and video standard is PAL. However I have
managed to find that digital camcorders are much cheaper in the USA, even
    when counting shipping costs.
What I was wondering is if an NTSC camcorder form the US will have any
    compatibility problems in Australia?

My main plans for a camcorder would be filming stuff, then capturing onto my
pc where I will then burn dvd's of the good stuff. Will this burn in NTSC,
or is there a way to convert it?

    Thanks for any info.

  2. Don't do it.
Conversion between formats is full of pitfalls. Loss of quality ensues.
Unconverted NTSC and PAL are completely incompatible with each other.
