    Hi, dear friends:

I'm temporarily working in Hong Kong (using PAL systems) and therefore
I shot a lot of DV tapes using my company's SONY DSR-PD100AP (DVCAM,
PAL) or TRV900E (mini-DV, PAL). Now that I'm moving to USA which is
using NTSC systems, I think I might purchase a new SONY DCR-PC330
    (NTSC) in the near future.

    My questions:
    1. Does the DCR-PC330 read and can play back those DV tapes that I
shot on PD100AP (DVCAM) and TRV900E?? If no, is there any product (not
dv camcorder, more like a "tape reader") that could read these DV
tapes into hard disks for video editing purposes?

    2. If PC330 could read and play back these tapes perfectly, when I'm
trying to do video editing on PC (using Premiere 6.5), then output as
MPEG2 for buring DVDs, would I run into other problems when converting
PAL into NTSC?? If it is not truly convertable (it's my guess), then,
could I still output the MPEG2 file in PAL format, and play back on
regular DVD players that can be purchased in USA market? I guess the
question is, does most DVD players (and TV) in USA does support both
    PAL/NTSC signals??

    Thanks!
