my wife dropped our Olympus C-720 in the pool, can shops do anything about
it these days or is it a lost cause? It's been a few days, so far it wont
turn on and there is water spots on the inner lense from where the water
drops evaporated so even if it turned on I would want it cleaned out. It's a
great camera, so I would like to continue using it, also dont want to shell
out a few hundred for a new camera.

Just tried putting the batterys in it, since it was in the pool the lense
was in the extended position, with batterys in the power light flashes every
3-4 seconds and every time it did that the lense moved into the closed
position, so maybe theres still water on the inside keeping it from fully
    powering or its just hosed.
