Hello: I have a C5050Z, my first digital. Aside from the zoom motor, which is clunky and a little jerky, I very much like the versatility of it all. But, after 18 mos, it will not hold a charge between battery changes, and the clock and pic mode resets. This is a pain, but not fatal. I got it at Best Buy, and they sold me a warranty. I've heard HORRIBLE things about the way Best Buy handles warranties, and I've asked them where the camera might go for repair. The best they will tell me is "to get repaired". Inquiries about "authorized Olympus Service Center" get me "all of our repair people are competent - we try to fix it here, and if it don't work, we 'send it off' ". I really don't want a HS grad digging in my cam with his Swiss Army Knife. What would you guys do? Ignore the bad capacitor, and just have fun? Thanks, A.
