Olympus E-500 "P" mode problem encountered

    Film and digital are two completely different beasts, as far as exposure
    is concerned. There is no better way to capture in digital than to
    expose as high as possible without blowing out highlights in the RAW
    data. Anything less is just asking for posterization and highly
    chromatic noise (unless your light source is the sensor/CFA combos
    native color, such as magenta to pink is for most DSLRs, in which case
    posterization and noise is almost purely luminance).

    Some scenes just cannot be coped with. I've seen 9 stop differences
    in some scenes on sunny days. You have to sacrifice something
    sometimes.
