    Hi
My son has above camera, it has served him well for the past 12, but when he
now switches it on, both the amber and green lights near the viewfinder
flash constantly and a intermitant beeping sound is heard, does anyone have
any ideas as to what the problem may be?

    TIA

    Pete

  2. It's the porn alarm set by the manufacturer. Bet the little wanker took some
    nudies of his girlfriend ;-)

:) No Pat, they are on the camcorder ;)
It's too good a camera to just throw away , any other ideas besides Pats?

  4. Well if that's not it, maybe try taking the battery out for few days to let
everything drain down and reset to factory defaults and see if that fixes
it. The short version is take the battery out for an hour. Also check the
menu for a "restore defaults" item.

Have you confirmed that the batteries are not drained out?
I don't know this camera but usually in Olympus compact cameras that
blinking means batteries hve little charge.
    Just a hunch
