Hi. I don't want to lug the 35m around with me on holiday this year so I
intend to use the Olympus Stylus 410 MJU. My question is what size to take
the pictures in for normal holiday prints of say 7inch by 4inch. I have a
    choice of SQ2 640 x 480; SQ1 2048 x 1536; HQ 2272 x 1704 and SHQ 2272 x
    1704. Many thanks in advance.

Personally, I would shoot at the highest possible quality i.e. SHQ

Once you take a photo you can "downsize" the result, but it is almost
    impossible to "upsize".

Thanks. Any idea what the difference is between HQ 2272 x 1704 and SHQ 2272

Amount of compression on the JPEG file.

More compression mors loss of detail but smaller file size.

Lower compression less loss of detail but larger file size.

HQ (I assume) means High Quality while SHQ means Super High Quality.

Check out the file sizes between the two and you will soon know.

Thanks. I'll shoot off a few samples and see what sizes come up.
