I've been trying long exposures with my XA.

I noticed that when I used the +1.5 compensation, the shutter stayed
open considerably longer than the maximum spec of 10 seconds. Without
compensation, exposure was about 5-10 seconds, with compensation, it was
    about 25-30 seconds.

This seems ideal for reciprocity failure, but could I damage the camera
    by doing this?
