Does anyone know if you can print directly on to CDs using this printer. My
son has an earlier printer which has a CD Tray which mine doesn't. I do
notice that on Canon's Software Download page it does list CD Easylabel
Print for my printer so it set me wondering if you can buy a tray to fit
this printer, otherwise why provide the software? I would really like to
print directly onto the CDs rather than use labels if possible.

Yes it does print directly onto CD (assuming you have the correct type
    of printable CDs.

Where are you in the country? I may have a spare one kicking about
(can't be 100% certain). Mine arrived defective from the supplier and I
ended up with a replacement. I think I ended up with a spare tray.

    Hi
I am in Cheshire. I don't remember seeing anything in the box when I
unpacked it that I haven't put on the printer.

If it will print CDs then it will have a pull-down flap above the paper
    exit.

Cheshire? That's handy, I'm in Norfolk. I'll pop it round tomorrow ;)

The CD tray is flat and was packed in cardboard. It could easily have
been mistaken for a bit of packaging.

I've had a rummage and I've definitely got a spare. If you want to email
me with your address (my email is valid), I'll pop it in the post for
    you.
