    In other words, "arguing".

But Peter has not made a claim in the text which you have quoted. The
only claim which has been made is your "Peter, refuses to stand by his
    claims - as usual".

How can you justify the claim which I have quoted, on the basis of the
quoted text in your reply and the quoted text to which I have just
    responded?

I found it by accident, I thought something went wrong until I noticed the text under the 'box'
That's the problem with HDR you can;t yet use it on moving[1] subjects.
it's the 'in thing' from the last few years people see plenty of arty images that have used HDR (mostly not very well) and would like to do the same Iguess. Whereas exposure compensation sounds complicated and indicates thatthought might be required which isn't good for the average camera phone snapper.

    Well that's my 'understanding'of it :)

[1] unlesss you're after some sort of effect rather than true HDR.

My subject was static, but the camera may have moved slightly. The
rendering was quite good and not "arty" at all, detail in the otherwise
washed out highlights were recovered (presumably with a second shorter
exposure). Worth a try, at least.

he was very insistent that he installed the newstap update. it wasn't a
mistake. he knew full well what he was saying.

when someone claims that they installed something that does not exist,
    it's a lie.

if someone posted that they installed lightroom 6, it would be a lie
    too.

nobody can install what does not exist.
i did, because *his* very first words were:

    that's trolling.

he had some issues with it. nothing wrong with that. no product is
    going satisfy 100% of users.

instead of saying he didn't like it and some stuff didn't work properly
and is there any way to fix it, he went on a rage about how apple
    sucks. that's trolling.
nothing needed to occur later. his initial comment was trolling.

however, later on, he continually blamed apple when the fault was
either with third party developers (which is certainly not apple's
doing) or his refusal to want to resolve the issues he was having (same
as the last thread where he went on a rant).

he didn't report the bug to the third party developer, nor did he go to
the apple store to have them figure out why one of their apps was
    crashing.

he just wanted to bitch about apple, as he normally does, with the
usual mindless crap like apple wants to control your every move and
    only makes toys.

Just what claim have I made. Is this a made up claim by you. We want to

"you should know by now that whether they're wrong or not does not
mean they won't nitpick every word i happen to use, in a desperate
attempt to find something to argue about."

That's you claiming that the result of nospam's actions depend on
whether or not he posts helpful information.

    You're welcome.

Good hting you have mind reading capabilities.
    You have made an assumption.
My statement could simply be a suggestion.
It could be a basis for changing my impression
Ic could be a basis for Tony Cooper's impression of his online persona,
IOW according to your prior definition of "assumption" it could also
just be a guess by you.

    Well, reading capabilities.
Based on an implication, yes. Which is why I asked you a followup
question where you had the chance to disprove my assumption, which you
    did not.
    It is undoubtedly a suggestion.
What does Tony have to do with this?
Indeed, and perhaps "claim" *is* a bit too much. It felt extremely
likely given your very obvious animosity towards nospam that you made
that statement with the intention to communicate your belief that he is
not being helpful and that is the basis of you (and others) treatment of
    him.

Maybe you have other reasons for your treatment of him than that? I
don't know, that's why I asked the question which you have yet to
    answer.

It did not clutter it up before (a little 'i' in the corner is a lot
less cluttered than much of iOS 7 looks now...).

    .... or a genuine mistake.

In any case you had been calling him a troll for several days before
    he gave you that justification.

THat's the point. You were calling him a troll right from the get-go.

highly unlikely, since he said he updated the specific app in question,
calling it out by name and that my explanation for why it crashed was
    wrong.

that's not a mistake. that's an intentional statement that is false, or
    a lie.

no such update existed and he didn't update anything.
i called him a troll because of the nature of his initial post.

Since Dudley hasn't had his iPad too long, I suspect that he meant to
say he had downloaded the latest version of Newstap. As you have
correctly stated there has not been an update to Newstap since December
2012, long before he would have had a need for it.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Usenet on the iPad/iPhone there are few
    options.
    Lost in translation.
