    Hello!

I am not a beginner of creating videos in Sony Vegas Pro 9.
I would like to be a person who will create own sound effects
that will be used during showing subtitles and intros of my movies.
My videos are captures of my family life.
I would like to create such sounds effects which doesn`t fit
any music instruments. i.e. space flight`s jet, punching etc.
I don`t want these sound to be such realistic. It would be
    such sounds which are artifiicial/unreal.

I am looking for a freeware or not freeware software which
let me create such sound effects that I can use on my movies
and then upload to youtube web page and earn on them.
I would like to prevent from youtube problems of copy rights
that`s why I would like to create such effect by myself to have
    100% fully rights for them.
I am not a musician so such software should be easy to use,
but not the easiest one. I can learn it up how to use it.

Do you know if Sound Forge Pro 10 will be the one I need it?
    http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/soundforge

Maybe you know some good freeware equivalent for it?

Is Virtual DJ a software which let me achieve such sounds
effects? It is freeware. I don`t know what about music rights
of files creates of Home Basic version of this software.

    Please help me

I don't know of any programs but you might find some using google to search
using the keywords special effects program freeware generator.

If you want to create an realistic artificial sound using a program that
has wave generators and filters then it's difficult to do. Some sound
effects programs sample a recording of a real sound then you can do things
such as speeding it up, slowing it down and apply other filters to create
something you can call your own.

Been using sound forge pro 10.0 for years. Have also used audition,
    adobe product.

Sound forge gives you a bunch of extras...like 400 soundtracks and
about 20, acoustic mirror impulse files.

Sound forge will also load your video, as audition will not, to make
changes. Like making that door slam, loud, when actor enters/leaves
    room.

There price is much less than audition.

    Thank you xman for answer
Could you explain what you mean by 400 soundtracks? Do you mean
music tracks i.e. 4 minutes long to use as soundtrack of the clip (for
commercial (i.e. on youtube web page) or noncommercial use) or you
mean 400 special effects sound tracks which are i.e. 2 seconds long?
    What are these impulse files?

You wrote that sound forge can load videos to make like door slam.
Will this door slam be able to create just in Sound Forge from the beginning
or you meant using ready door slam mp3 file downloaded from the internet.

    Thank you for help
    I really apprieciate it.

I would like to create such sounds effects which doesn`t fit
There are web sites offering free sound fx.

    E.g. http://www.freesound.org/

If you want to make your own, look into "sound synthesizer" software. That's
    one way to create sound.
I think many sound effects are recorded and then processed in some wave
    editors (e.g. audacity).
Or you can buy collections of sound effects which you can then use in
    youtube video.

I use a combinations of all of the above methods.
