    Hi,

    I'll be shooting some interviews with a Panasonic AG-HMC 150 + 2
Countryman lavalier mics plugged directly to the camera.

Since I'll be indoor I was thinking about using AC power instead
batteries. Anyone already experienced hum or buzz problems in the same
situation? Should I better use batteries?

I'll be renting the camera and cannot make pre-shooting test...

    Sincerely
    Larry

I've always tried to stay on DC power, to avoid any ground loops or
    hash on the AC lines.

  3. The camera and the microphones are common, at least pro-sumer
grade equipment. Unless you have damaged equipment/cables, I
would expect that there would be no hum/buzz issue, whether
running from AC power or battery.

Assuming you have charged battery(s), you can always use the
battery power as a fall-back option, but since there is no other
equipment interconnected (such as getting a feed from a house
PA system, etc.) the potential for ground loops, etc. is absent.

Of course you would never dream of recording audio without
using a good pair of headphones to monitor the signal. Recording
audio on a camcorder without headphones is like framing and
focusing without looking at the viewfinder.
