panasonic international warranty

  1. where do i find information about it?

    I am getting a lumix FZ20 from pricejapan.com, and they say they dont
    have it, but panasonic says everyone should... What should i do? Can i
    just show panasonic proof of purchase and they give it to me?

    help me out here ppl!

  2. Well if you buy a Panasonic in Australia it comes with a 12 month Australian
    warranty plus a limited international warranty. The latter is only
    applicable in some countries. It excludes the USA and some Asian countries,
    includes Australia but is only 3 months for labour and 12 months for parts.
    If you buy in Japan it may come with the same international warranty or it
    may not. It's their home country after all. You would need proof of purchase
    plus a completed international warranty form.

    You may be hard pressed claiming the warranty in Australia if it hasn't been
    released here yet.

    often digital cameras and video are only covered in their country or region
    of purchase.
