    Hi,

I having some problems using this camera on Windows XP. All used to
work well and in the past I've used Adobe Premier on XP to capture and
    edit video.

However, connected the camera up now and adobe (and Vegas) refuses to
acknowledge its presence. However the camera is listed in the
Scanners and Cameras section of the control panel, and I can capture
    'photo' here.

Windows XP SP2 has been installed since I last used the camera - so
this may contribute to the problem?!? Guessing..

Any ideas would be welcome - I don't fancy wiping the hard drive and
    reinstalling everything.

    Cheers,

  2. switch off microsoft firewall while editing.
switch off ieee1394 network connection while editing ( permanently if
you don't use it for networking )
