Pentax has announced three new DA* large aperture zoom lenses with
ultrasonic motors (USM), to be available from March 2007.

    PENTAX-DA* 16-50mm F2.8ED AL[IF] (24-75mm f/2.8 equiv. on 35mm film)
    PENTAX-DA* 50-135mm F2.8ED [IF] (75-200mm f/2.8 equiv.)
    PENTAX-DA* 60-250mm F4ED [IF] (90-375mm f/4 equiv.)

The DA* designation means that the lenses have an image circle to suit
the APS-C sensor size (DA) and are of high optical quality (*).

Now that the Pentax 6.1 MP K100D and forthcoming 10 MP K10D DSLRs have
built-in anti-shake, these fast USM lenses mean that Pentax has a very
    competitive product range.

The Pentax 645 Digital is announced again but without a delivery date.
