Has any of you gentlemen ever got a chance to use this lens yourself, or
heard any first hand experience of anybody who did? On the film camera, that
is. These days I'm trying to convince myself that I really don't need
anything like that, that I really can make good portraits of my daughter
with lenses I've already got, and while looking for alternatives for what I
don't need I saw that Pentax appears to starting a whole new series of
    lenses.

In fact, I'm trying to get any information on this lens that goes beyond the
press release. It does seem to be nicer for use (smaller and lighter) than
that big monster of SMCP-FA 100 f/2.8 and a bit cheaper, too. On the other
hand, the emphasis on digital optimisation, and the small size of the lens
in general, and filter diameter (49mm) in particular leaves some doubts
about its performanse on the film body.

    Any information is highly appreciated.
