    That's not bad, actually, Doug.

    Who took it?
    Julian?
    Sarina?

They are a comical looking bird. It's not a bad shot of a bird in
flight, which explains it being on the soft side. I find the
background too bright. I would have used EV compensation, if your
    cell has that.

Forget the other one, Dougie: this is THE shot.
Much better. Crop it slightly on the left and it'd
    be competition material.

I should have known better than to give an honest critique on one of
your images Douglas. You always take it as a personal attack.

BTW: I have a new monitor that is properly calibrated, so you'll have
to look for another excuse. Do what most adults do, learn from your
    mistakes and move on.

Years ago (2000 actually) when I managed some holiday units in Hervey Bay,
there was a pelican who used to wander up to beach fishermen and lean on
them until they give his some bait or one of the whiting they caught.

A couple of years later a joker decided to take possession of this wild
animal and called him Peter. Life isn't that easy when a town takes a
liking to interacting with wild birds and it got nasty.

This is a shot of the bird before the crap about befriending wild birds got
into a legal and political blue that even today has the "EPA" (Mark Thomas's
favorite department) arguing over letting people feed dolphins and pelicans.

  8. Without later local adjustments, that'd make the bird even darker, of
course. So, my findings are that the exposure is correct withing plus or
    minus 1/8 of a stop.

D-Mac, do you still own a camera? Got anything new to share besides 9
    year old shots?

Yeah... Softness is part of my makeup. Just ask the people I gave so
generously to at Christmas... That D-Mac, he's just an old softie!

How you are anyone else can judge a picture on a monitor you said is blurry
and off colour is something you need to share with Mark Thomas.

He sees stuff no one else does and hears voices in the silence too. You two
ought to get your rocks off with each other sometime. Discuss the finer
points of "fine Art" photography. LOL.

Let me know when and I'll come watch! ROTFL.

Oh yes Bret, I have a fine brace of Fujifilm s5 pros and Nikons, thanks for
    asking.

I thought this was your Canon group, mate. Not wanting to show up how rough
around the edges those Crapon's are I though I'd do you a favor and only
post my old Canon and cell phone shots. LOL.

Hey mate... It's summer time Oz style here. Water sports, lazing in the sun
as you build up a personal collection of melanomas and fun, fun, fun.
Tangalooma has never been so full or had so many gorgeous tropical fish at
the wrecks... Let me know when you're coming over.

And you want me to share all this so the village idiots from OZ can start
    masturbating again?

Get real Bret. This life is for the chosen few who can handle the pace of
it. No time for nasty bastards handcuffed to their chairs... "Pass me
    another pina-colada will you Margie"?

    ROTFL...
