Thanks Helen. Actually been in southern England. Only had the
one night in London, so made the most of it walking up and down
the Thames. Had a stopover in Dubai on the way. Many photos.

I'll try my best at the SI.

    Thanks Alan!

Think this is what you mean, but the dark pole in fg distracted
me. Tried to position it where it was less noticable, but
preferred the first shot I posted. What do you reckon?

    I'll give the SI a go :)

  11. There's a nice connection, though.
I heard the fellow who bought London Bridge thought he was purchasing
Tower Bridge........ but one hears many things.

    Urban legend.

The City of London was quite specific they were selling Rennie's 1831
NEW London Bridge when they advertised for bids. All he had to do was
    look at the specs.

Thanks mate. I haven't really used my tripod that much, and
these were probably my first serious attempts at night shots with
tripod. If nothing else, I had fun. In more ways than one. I
had to kill time at a nearby pub to wait for night to come. Had
about 3 pints before taking these. :)

  17. Nice shot. Btw, if i try to follow the link to the "large-size image" on
that particular page it doesn´t work. Funny enough, if i access that image
    from your gallery it works.

    Regards,
    Markus

    Thanks Markus.

You're right about the link. I omitted part of the URL that
specifies the album it came from to shorten the length, but that
breaks the link for larger image. I'll have to remember not to
    do that.

Yes, I understand that. Tower bridge is next to the Tower of London and
London Bridge is across a portion of Lake Havasu in Arizona.

    It was just a joke.

I guess I just gotta aim lower.
