    From Spaceweather.com:
AURORA ALERT: A moderate geomagnetic storm is in progress. Sky watchers in,
e.g., northern Europe, Canada and northern-tier US states like Wisconsin,
Minnesota and Washington should remain alert for auroras until further
    notice.

So go outside tonight and look around! They can be very faint, and I have at
times taken a photo before I realized that, yes, it IS an aurora. For those
who are interested www.aurorachasers.com is a great way to track the "kp"
index to see if aurora can be spotted in your area (links has many useful
    sites).

This is from last nights display. The orange lights are from a distant
city. Greens and Purples are aurora.
