Photographing London tourist sites and other places

    Hi

I've got some film to use up after my trip abroad. I live in London
and wondered if I should seek out places in the Central London this
weekend and then take some interesting pictures. I'm very new to
photography (have a new manual SLR that I'm getting to know) and so am
still learning about light conditions, and what makes a good photo.
    And I need the practice.

Could anyone suggest good places/tourist sites that can be relied upon
usually to provide good photographs (eg - London Eye for the view it
    gives, parks etc )?

    Thanks

  2. The Eye is a good choice, not only for the scenic views. You can also get
some dramatic shots by including parts of the mechanism.

Almost any mews will yield tons of shots. Architectural elements are
outstanding, as are macro-style CU's of just the blocks on the street, and the
signage. I've almost been run down many times, because some building, or
another caught my eye, and I forgot which direction to look for traffic!

    Enjoy,
